I was raised around real estate from an early age and worked in both of my parents’ businesses at different points in my life. My father owned and operated his own remodeling and construction company, where I gained hands-on exposure to how homes are built, improved, and evaluated. My mother spent more than 35 years in the title business. First as an abstractor, then as a partner in a property research firm working with attorneys, title companies, and state agencies, shaping my understanding of the legal and historical side of real property through probates, wills, Trusts and other avenues.
Alongside that foundation, music played a major role in my early life. I began playing drums at the age of 10 and performed professionally by the age of 15. As a drummer, my role was never about being the loudest voice in the room; it was about being the foundation. Drumming taught me how to stay intensely focused on my responsibility while supporting the entire group, keeping everyone aligned, and helping the team perform at its best. Success depended on preparation, timing, and consistency, keeping my ego in check. Those decades in the music business reinforced discipline, accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure which are skills that translate directly to guiding real estate transactions as part of a coordinated team working toward a successful outcome.
Before transitioning fully into residential real estate as a Realtor, I spent more than five years working for a Texas appraisal district as a "Mass Appraiser". The last two years were concentrated on waterfront land, and properties along rivers and lakes. In that role, I evaluated properties using foundational principles applied in Appraisal district valuations; market data, comparable sales, condition, location, and functional utility. That experience gave me a clear understanding of how appraisers think, what adjustments they make, and which factors truly influence value versus those that do not. Today, that insight helps me price homes more accurately, anticipate appraisal challenges for my buyer and seller clients, and proactively address issues that could impact financing.
In 2006, I earned my real estate license and found my professional grounding. For 20 years my clients have benefited from a rare blend of construction, title, valuation, and transaction experience allowing me to anticipate issues, protect value, and guide decisions with clarity. My role is to simplify the process, protect my clients’ interests, make sure no detail is overlooked and make my clients feel confident and well-informed at every stage of the transaction.
